Problems and solutions when using car wipers
1. The newly installed wiper has a period of running-in for the rubber refill strip. Under the clear wiping effect, please do not worry, the noise will automatically disappear after the running-in period.
2. The angle deviation of the wiper arm. Normally, the rubber refill strip and the windshield are carried out at a certain angle when the wiper works, during this condition, the wiper has a good wiping effect and the noise of the wiping is small. However, due to the large non-parallel error between the wiper arm and the windshield, the vertical deviation between the wiper and the windshield is large, at this time if the friction force generated during the wiping working is less than resilience force generated by the elasticity of the rubber refill strip, the rubber refill strip will switch between the two cases, and the result is that the wiper will shake during the work then provide a large noise!
Solution: Firstly, please distinguish there is noise and streaks when wiping up or down; If there is noise when wiping up, adjust the angle of the arm slightly in counterclockwise orientation; Otherwise, adjust the angel reverse , the issue will be solved when the angle is less than 45 degrees. If you don’t understand, you can go to a car repair shop or a 4S shop, ask professional staff to help adjust it.
3. If there is noise when wiping both up and down, it may be that the windshield has solid oil stains or car wax, or it has been coated with paint protective film, and paint protective film causes oil film on the windshield surface.
Solution: Use oil film cleaning fluid to clean the solid oil stain or an oil film on the windshield surface.
4. If there is noise just in some areas, generally when the washer fluid is sprayed or it is in small rain, the wiper can wipe the water or rains clean one time. When it wipes again, there is less washer fluid or small rain, the noise will appear if Squeegee the dry windshield, which is normal and it will disappear automatically.
5. There is no noise during the wiping work, but it appears noise when the rubber refill strip turns up and down. This situation may be because the wiper is not used and stops at an angle for a long time , which causes the rubber refill strip to fall in one direction and was deformed. Then the rubber strip can not be smoothly turned over at the beginning of the wiping; In this case, it is recommended to take out the rubber strip, then turn around for another orientation, or wipe a few more times to return to normal. If there is no water or rains for a long time, please turn off the wiper switch.
6. The pressure of the wiper arm is so large that the downward force increases, causing the contact area between the rubber refill strip and the windshield enlarge, then noise appears.
The solution, adjust the wiper arm to reduce the pressure of the wiper arm. If don’t know how to deal with it, please go to the car repair shop or 4S shop to ask professional for helping.
Note: the wiper and adaptors are crowded in a packaging box (especially a small box), which will cause the edges of the rubber blade are deformed, but it will generally recover and straighten after a period of use. If it doesn’t recover for a long time, it will not affect the normal wiping effect as well.
7. The wiper rubber refill strip is deformed or broken or solidified by an oil film, which will cause rubber refill strip can not turn over during the work, then the noise appears. It is recommended to replace the new wiper directly.
8. The quality problem of the rubber refill strip, such as the rubber refill strip is expired or uses washer fluid with ammonia or acid accelerates the hardening (aging) of rubber refill strip, then the wiping effect decreases that appears noise gradually; it is recommended to replace the new wiper directly.
9. The gap between the wiper arm and the connecting link causes uneven pressure. Let the wiper continue to spray washer fluid, then use the finger to press on the wiper arm slightly, then the noise will disappear automatically; If noisy still, please go to the car repair shop or 4S shop, let professional workers check the connecting link and other kits.
